What it does

Fluio Base is not a catalog: it is where you sort out the files already on your drive. Organize blocks extracts, renames and organizes models; Organize textures gives prefixes and names to texture sets; Inventory lists everything the app has organized and converted.

The same sidebar holds the Max → SKP Converter and PBR textures, which have their own guides.

Before you start

  • The folder with your files, accessible on this computer.
  • Free space: archives are extracted during organization.

Step by step

  1. Choose the folders

    In Organize blocks › Folders, choose the Source. Leave the Destination empty to organize within the source itself (Organize in place). If you want, set the File prefix (e.g. BED_) and the Renderers.

  2. Say what stays

    Under What stays, choose whether to keep previews, textures and unclassified files, and which extensions to keep or exclude. Exclusions take priority.

  3. Generate the plan

    Click Generate plan. The app shows every operation before touching any file, with the source and the result side by side.

  4. Confirm

    Changed something? Update plan. All good? Confirm and organize. At the end, View in Inventory shows what was done.

  5. Organize the textures

    In Organize textures, choose the source: the app reads the folder’s categories and suggests a prefix for each one under Categories and prefixes. Review them and click Extract and rename.

Tips

  • Archives and rejected files go to Quarantine (_BACKUP), not to the Recycle Bin. Deleting the quarantine after you check it is optional and can’t be undone.
  • Each texture prefix is saved and names the next sets on its own.
  • Under Nested archives you limit depth, entries and uncompressed size.
  • Inventory has search by name or folder and filters for blocks, textures and Max → SKP.

Common problems

WhenThe plan doesn’t show what I expected.
What to doReview What stays and the extensions, and click Update plan. Nothing is touched before Confirm and organize.
WhenA file is missing after organizing.
What to doLook in Quarantine, in that run’s _BACKUP folder.
WhenA .max scene wasn’t caught by the renderer filter.
What to doThe filter only separates scenes with at least 95% confidence in the renderer. The others follow the extension rules.
