Getting started
Install the app from the Microsoft Store, sign in to your account and choose the folder where your library will live.
1The numbers on the screen are the steps in Step by step.
What it does
FLUIO. is the app where you find 3D blocks, materials and HDRIs, download them and bring them into your project, right in SketchUp and 3ds Max. Your account is the same one you use on the website.
The first time you open it, the app asks for only two things: sign in to your account and choose a folder on your drive for the library. There are no profile questions and no tour.
Before you start
- Windows 10 or 11.
- A FLUIO. account. You can create one for free in the app itself or on the website.
- To insert into the programs: SketchUp, or 3ds Max 2022 to 2027, installed. Their licenses are not part of FLUIO.
- Free space on the drive where the library will live.
Step by step
Install from the Microsoft Store
Search for FLUIO. 3D in the Microsoft Store, or use the Download the app button on the website, and click Install. The app is distributed only through the Store, and updates arrive through it automatically.
Sign in or create your account
On the Sign in tab, use your email and password or Continue with Google, which finishes signing in in your browser. If you don’t have an account, open the Create account tab, enter your name, email and a password of at least 8 characters, and click Create free account.
- New account: confirm your email with the link sent to your inbox, then come back to sign in.
- Forgot your password? You change it on the website, under Forgot password.
Choose the library folder
The screen asks where your library is. Click Choose folder, pick a folder (for example D:\3D Library) and click Finish and sign in. That is where the app organizes everything you download, by program and by category.
Get to know the tabs
The app opens on 3D Library. Along the top you also have Materials, HDRIs, Modeling, UVW Map and Fluio Base. The circle with your initials, in the right corner, opens Your account.
Connect the app to the programs
To insert and apply directly in SketchUp and 3ds Max, install the connectors in Your account › Settings › System and connectors › Connectors. The Connectors guide shows the steps.
Tips
- Language and theme change in the top bar, next to the avatar: the PT/EN label switches the language and the icon next to it switches between light and dark.
